As you already know from our home page we started Oraps in October of 2009, but we have had a love and a passion for preserving many things long before that. My main job is a painter and I have many clients that rely on my services especially during the spring, summer, and even fall months. Another one of my services is to restore and install windows some of course are modern but there have been some that I have had to preserve not only the glass but the older wood trimming around it as well. We take great pride in our work and because of that we have many repeat customers.
On my off time I personally volunteer to many activities in our community. I share a very close working relationship with many other non-profits organizations like the F.O.M.P. (Friends of Mansfield Parks, Ohio and Richland County Genealogy Society, N.E.C.I.C, (North End Community Improvement Collaborative), the people that maintain and run the blockhouse our oldest jail and courthouse, and Oakhill Cottage Museum of which I also do their preservation work as well. I keep a close relationship with Ocie Hill School where the kids are using our historic wood to make benches for the blockhouse. These are but a few of the places I deal with, volunteer my time, or help out in some way, they in turn offer support to me as well.
